The Kansas State Council of SHRM will recognize a Kansas SHRM Chapter member’s organization (not an individual) of those that are members of Kansas SHRM chapters that model, encourage and promote diversity and inclusion in the community and/or the workplace. KS State Council of SHRM Diversity Director Craig Poe encourages individuals to take the opportunity to nominate their most commendable diversity and inclusion champions for this award.
Nominees are expected to have demonstrated:
- Work in the area of diversity and inclusion that goes above and beyond what is expected through normal job or organizational responsibilities.
- Efforts that have resulted in a positive impact on others in the community and the workplace.
Craig Poe, Kansas SHRM Diversity Director says “Kansas State Council of SHRM knows that there are many deserving organizations in our state. Whether they’ve started a diversity and inclusion initiative, diversity committee, or volunteered to serve or assist the community to enhance diversity and inclusion, this is an opportunity to recognize an organization in our state and their efforts.”
The Kansas State Council of SHRM will select the Diversity and Inclusion Champion, who will be recognized during the Kansas SHRM State Conference held September 16-18, 2020. The recipient organization will receive a Diversity and Inclusion Champion certificate, and a donation will be made to a charity of their choice.
