Organizations today face an increasingly complex workforce landscape shaped by rapid technological change, evolving employee expectations, demographic shifts, and persistent talent shortages. In response, HR leaders are being asked to move beyond traditional hiring models and play a more strategic role in workforce planning.
This session will explore how organizations can design more intentional workforce strategies using the Build–Buy–Borrow–Bot framework, balancing internal talent development, AI integration, external hiring, and flexible workforce solutions such as contract or gig talent. Participants will examine the advantages and trade-offs of each approach and learn how to apply a practical decision framework to workforce planning.
The session will also focus on integrating workforce decisions into broader organizational strategy, helping HR professionals align talent capabilities with long-term business needs while maintaining agility in a rapidly changing environment.
